Wendell McShine’s new solo show, RACCOON’S LAW is described by the artist as the following:
“The Raccoon reminds one to take an introspective gaze into the mask being worn, within a delicate balance of give and take. Dramatically dusty charcoal drawings captivates a whimsical fantasy of control and freedom that lingers beyond our imagination.”
The show opens June 1st, 2013 at Fifty24SF Gallery, San Francisco. For more information please contact Trevor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here’s a sneak peek from his studio as he prepares to install the show this week.

Coffee, Charcoal, Ink, Aerosol, Animations, Acrylic, re-purpose materials all collide into a
world of politics, metaphysics and sinister plots attempting to convey an allegorical ideology
for a cast of characters within a fantasy realm. Men who create awakened shadows at the fall
of the evening sun. Sub-worlds where lines become cages; ink stains form the spirits of those
who wear the chicken pox mask. Women who had long left this place for the dimension of
harmonic memories of a time when sweet water filled the land. ~ Wendell McShine
