Life is Beautiful Festival and Justkids have teamed up to offer one lucky artist an opportunity to participate in the festival’s permanent street art program, which aims to turn 15-blocks of Downtown Las Vegas into an art-inspired playground showcasing works by some of the most recognized names in urban art.
The prize includes a round trip from your country to Las Vegas, one week accommodation, paint, equipment and a wall. The winner will be painting with some of the top international and local street artists and will be officially part of the line-up of Life is Beautiful Street Art program
The Music line up of the festival included Kanye West, Outkast, Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters, Alt-J, The Weeknd, Girl Talk, A-Track, TV on the Radio, Skrillex, The Roots, The Flaming Lips etc.
Probably our favorite beat from J Dilla’s masterstroke Donuts, we like a little extra touch from Black Thought of The Roots in this nice remix. Sounds like this is exactly what it should be. Good morning to you. We are here again.
We just happened to be watching Jimmy Fallon Friday night and see FIFTY24SF past exhibiting photographer, Estevan Oriol get a mention by actor and photographer, Scott Caan about his portrait of Dennis Hopper, and a nod of approval from The Roots.
Nothing better than some double electric bass action, which is exactly what we get here with Spoon playing with The Roots on “Jimmy Fallon” the other night… they killed it on this version “Nobody Gets Me But You”… sweet.
We were a little suspect at first about The Roots having so many pop guests on their new album, How I Got Over, but it turns out we were worried over nothing. We gave this album a listen last night, and its quite good. We actually thought their last two, Game Theory and Rising Down were dark, brilliant albums that went under the radar, but we think this year, How I Got Over will not be overlooked.
