This album, Tomboy, is only a few weeks old, and we are already way into it. Noah Lennox and his Panda Bear project has surpassed our Animal Collective fandom, with a mini-masterpiece made in Lennox’ studio in Lisbon, Portugal. Whatever they have in the water there, we want it. This is the music we want to be making on a Portugal afternoon.
We couldn’t believe this was filmed in 2010, as with the skater’s style, the film’s quality, and overall feel, this seems like 1960s. But with Kilian Martin skating, and Rick Nelson on the music, a beautiful thing.
Vhils has some new explosive work in the music video he made for Orelha Negra. As if his finished work is not amazing enough, he uses pyrotechnics to create the work for the video. The work is fit to the song really nicely… good work and good song, all around good video.
No offense Jennifer Grey, but if you didn’t win, all that “Dirty Dancing” crap would have just been a bunch of bullshit and we would have known you had a stunt double or something. By the way, how annoying is “Dirty Dancing” and that whole soundtrack? Its the music for women who dream too much about hunky guys and are actually depressed. That was mean, sorry.
Somebody went to a John Prine concert on Governors Island in New York City and had to deal with talking over the music, smoking, and singling along too loudly. So they made a guide on how not to act and an expensive concert.
Look, its the same at every concert. Sometimes you are just next to drunk midget who lost his jacket and is a little loud about it. You feel us?
