San & Escif Mural on Upper Playground in San Francisco
FIFTY24SF alums, Spanish artists San and Escif, have contributed panels above the Upper Playground SF location that were crafted during their travels of California a couple months back. Fits the vibe of the street pretty nicely… now you got Ericailcane, San, Escif, Herbert Baglione, El Mac, Jeremy Fish, Zephyr, and Revolt on the Fillmore block…
New Release: T-shirts by SAN
Following SAN’s recent collaborative show with ESCIF at FIFTY24SF Gallery, he crafted these two t-shirt graphics for Upper Playground around the idea of human stupidity. Specifically about how when people gather together to accomplish things with group action, they often look more and more absurd. The “Ants” t-shirt uses human bodies in a minor scale to show the mirrors in social organization between ants and humans. While the “Bicycle” tee shows a group of people happy about doing things in human sync but looking more and more like clowns while doing their job.
The Ants and Bicycle tees are available exclusively at Upper Playground online shop and at all Upper Playground locations.
Escif in Ponta Delgada, Azores
The busy summer of Escif continues… he and SAN really had a great exhibit and tour of California with FIFTY24SF Gallery earlier in June and July, and now we just saw the Spanish artist stopped by Ponta Delgada, Azores for a festival…

Prints from San and Escif for FIFTY24SF Gallery’s “See You in Croatan”
In conjunction with San & Esif’s “See You in Croatan” exhibition at FIFTY24SF Gallery, Upper Playground and FIFTY24SF Gallery is releasing four prints by the Spanish artists.
The prints by San, entitled “I Am a Host of Trophies and Scars” and “I Am Where I Come From“, feature his extremely detailed line-work in earth tones, with the former showcasing a self-portrait. Escif’s prints, “Macarena” and “Morphine“, exhibit his minimal characters in neutral tones.
The prints have been made exclusively for Upper Playground all four prints measure 18″ x 24″ and are silk-screened onto card stock weight papers. Each print is limited to an edition of 50 and is signed and numbered by the artist.
