When it comes down to our love of Madlib, it all begins with The Unseen. Which is a really great place to start. And we start our week off with one of the finest tracks from that era, “Microphone Mathematics.”

One of the great productions in the Madlib catalog comes from his alter-ego, Quasimoto, and the track “Come On Feet.” We have said time and time again that The Unseen is one of the great albums of all-time, and this is one of the great tracks from the period. Enjoy.

This isn’t so much a Christmas song, as it is motivation for you to get your Christmas week together. Madlib, Quasimoto, Jay Dee, all per your request.

We go with Madlib’s alter ego, Lord Quas, aka Quasimoto, and the 2000 track, “Real Eyes.” from The Unseen. And like most Madlib tracks, its a bit odd, a bit great, and a bit California. Enjoy.

We wanted to go way back to Madlib’s Lootpack, which is more mid-1990’s style. This is Madlib’s group in high school, so yes, old school, awesome, a little Quasimoto ideas thrown in, and a song called “Weededed.” Enjoy.

In a long overdue followup to 2006’s Chrome Children poster, Burlesque has once again teamed up with our folks over at Stones Throw Records for a brand new screenprinted poster for the supreme boogie funk ruler Dâm FunK’s upcoming performances in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Prints will be available at the show as well as online through Stones Throw’s site and our online store.
Check out the photo essay on Stones Throw’s site documenting the process of creating this poster, which was designed by Mike and printed by Ben.
