This a cool show opening at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, with artists re-imagining and reconsidering the alphabet. For example, graffiti artist Tony Quan (a k a Tempt One) chose T; the designer Rebeca Méndez picked R; and the design studio Volume selected V.

Where California can make its comeback… in contemporary design

Posted from The Citrus Report

Pretty cool exhibit going on at the Pasadena Museum of California Art, the California Design Biennial: Action/Reaction. California should be about innovation, renovation, and leading in terms of alternative change, and this year, “in a departure from previous biennials, the museum appointed a curator to select works for each of the exhibition’s sections: graphic design (Louise Sandhaus), transportation (Stewart Reed), fashion (Rose Apodaca), product design (Alissa Walker) and architecture (Frances Anderton).” (The Moment.)

So, pros are getting the spotlight, and the annual exhibit is supposed to be better than ever. It just seems like a good thing all together.
