You had me at “HI.” Post-It Wars broke out in NYC office buildings last week, creating a collage of Post-It street art on a battleground of creativity. What started as a simple, “Hi” message sparked Manhattan’s ad agencies and window gazers to bring on a Post-It Art War showdown on Canal Street.
Creative minds used words, pictures and images from famous pop culture influencers to out-do each other across high rises. Some big ad agencies like Havas Worldwide, Horizon Media, Cake Group, Biolumina and Harrison, Star, and Getty Images are reportedly involved. Havas Worldwide won a Post-It War contest by being the first company to post an image of the Clio Award, granting them access to a table at the awards show.

Trailer for street artist JR’s new documentary film “Inside Out” set to run on HBO:
This fascinating documentary tracks the evolution of the biggest participatory art project in the world, the wildly popular ‘INSIDE OUT’. Travel the globe with French artist JR as he motivates entire communities to define their most important causes with incredibly passionate displays of giant black and white portraits pasted in the street. We witness young and old taking ownership of walls that were previously restricted and in doing so testing the limits of what they thought was possible. In capturing the process, Alastair Siddons creates a glowing testament to the power of image and the role that art can play in transforming communities.
An official Documentary Feature Spotlight selection at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival, the film will premiere at the SVA Theatre on West 23rd Street, on Saturday, April 20th and debut exclusively on HBO on Monday, May 20th at 9pm ET/PT.
