Wiley Wallace is a rare Arizona-native breed. After receiving his bachelor’s in inter-media arts at ASU, he left for California masters in fine arts from University of California, Santa Barbara. Wallace encapsulates the metaphysical world for us in his elaborate artwork. He gets most of his inspiration from his three kids who make appearances in most of his pieces. Connected by wires, signals, and satellites, his creative works are metaphysical representations of his children connected to another universe.

Hauser is known for his intangible body of work flowing between fine arts, fashion and applied photography. From purely esthetical to highly conceptual, he frequently references or paraphrases the iconic visual language of historical photography, or even incorporates exisiting images into his work. Together with his distinguished feel for appearance and his love for the mysterious, alienating, strange and uncanny, these are the key elements that form the core of his body of work, which has a distinct metaphysical dimension.

METAPHYSICAL LANGUAGE BY ERIC LOUIE

by Ariadna Zierold

Vancouver based Eric Louie was born in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. His latest paintings continue to develop his unique metaphysical language. He has always been interested in spatial dimensions that evoke realms of consciousness and memory. In his paintings he is pushing the spatial relationships by use of multiple planes and a new use of formal abstraction and geometric shapes. They speak of the natural order of things that both acknowledge and deny spatial illusion simultaneously.

He was the recipient of the Jason Laing scholarship while a student and has been exhibiting since graduation including the Art Gallery of Calgary. Rammellzee “The Equation: The Letter Racers” @ Suzanne Geiss Company, NYC

RAM evite L Rammellzee The Equation: The Letter Racers @ Suzanne Geiss Company, NYC suzanne geiss company Rammellzee

The legendary, visionary, and Gothic Futurist, Rammellzee (RIP) just had an exhibit open of his Letter Racers at Suzanne Geiss in NYC. If you don’t know, Rammellzee was a man of mystery, creating his own language and visual language that is beyond original. It comes from another planet. The exhibit is up through April 21, 2012.

“In the 14th Century the monks ornamented and illustrated the manuscripts of letters. In the 21st and 22nd century the letters of the alphabet through competition are now armamented for letter racing and galactic battles. This was made possible by a secret equation know as THE RAMMELLZEE.”

“Suspended in the interstice between the metaphysical and the material, the 52 Letter Racers displayed in this show are poised to activate and attack. Constructed from urban detritus – Canal Street perfume caps, spray can triggers, and king’s crown air fresheners – they are objects of human experience refracted and reconfigured to create a revised language of urban existence.”
