No one who has ever liked the Strokes is going to not like this song. This is classic Strokes, if there is such a phrase, perhaps even better than any single they had before. We love it. Wonder where Phoenix got their sound from? This is the Strokes telling the French to learn something new. “Under Cover of Darkness,” very good. Angles, we look forward to it.

That up there is the cover to the new Belle and Sebastian album, aptly titled Belle and Sebastian Write About Love. They have done that for a long time now, so might as well name your album that, we thinks. This is something to look forward to. These Scots are quite good.

Here is a film to look forward to… the new film directed and written by Sofia Coppola, Somewhere. Its not set to come out until December, 2010, but from the looks of this trailer, we are up for the wait.
According to the film’s wiki site, “Stephen Dorff plays Johnny Marco, a Hollywood bad-boy stumbling through a life of excess at the Chateau Marmont when he receives an unexpected visit from his 11-year-old daughter, played by Elle Fanning. Their meeting challenges his lifestyle and forces him to make necessary changes.“
