This is an incredible sculpture piece by James Hopkins, who has taken an axe handle and carved a fine detail of a flower for the handle. Sometimes you just have to hand it to the artist.

Hard not to be a Boris Hoppek fan; the man is clever and talented, and the pieces he has dropped at Fame Festival already look pretty epic and soon to be on blogs worldwide. His character is cool, but we are seeing some newer approaches, and we love it.

Artist Gil Vicente knows how to get some attention, as his series of drawings of assassinations of very symbolic world leaders, “Enemeis,” is causing a stir at the Sao Paulo Art Biennel. Already, the Brazilian Bar Association demanded “Enemies” be removed shortly after making its debut Saturday. We think killing Bush, the Pope, the Queen, and the Iranian President Ahmadinejad would get you noticed.

You know George Lois. He did all the iconic Esquire Magazine covers, and he had a fantastic retrospective of the covers at the MoMA a few years back. And The Selby went by to say hello to George, and now the pictures are posted, and as always, George knows how to design things, in this case, his home.
