We know this is a tad bit of old news, but we really love what our good friend, Greg “Craola” Simkins did for Pearl Jam earlier this year. A 9 Color Screen Printed Poster created for the Pearl Jam / Mudhoney show in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on September 17, 2011… available here if Grandma wrote you a nice check for the holidays this year.
Longtime friend of Upper Playground & FIFTY24SF Gallery, Greg “Craola” Simkins, will be opening a show in Montreal with artist Lola at Yves Laroche called “Escape With Me.” The show opens June 8, 2011.
The piece above, The Nature of Nurture, will be in the show, and is another really great piece from Greg’s fine art body of work.
And if you haven’t been to Montreal, its a great city, with a ton of art and graffiti everywhere. So if you need another reason, go see Craola’s show up North.
Our friends from Pop Up Projects sent us over a new series from artists Graham Curran, Greg Simkins and j.frede titled CCX13. This collection of work came about as “the three have an almost unhealthy obsession with clouds and photographing them, with daily “cloud battles” via text messages when the sky allows.” You can view the full project here.
Greg Simkins has a new interview in the latest Tattoo Revolution Magazine, a rag we have not heard of but can only assume is super popular because tattoo magazines are killing it these days. Get a copy here, support magazines. And Craola.
