The car you drive shouldn’t matter, but if you are going to go for looks and a little bit of performance, we are going to say that this new Audi A1 Sportback Five-Door is going to be something to look out for. Sure, there are a lot of great things just in the way it looks, but at around $22,924, its cheaper than a Prius. And it doesn’t look like some odd fish tank.

A.P.C. main man does and does not interview well

Jean Touitou, founder of French fashion brand, A.P.C., says a lot of great things and really annoying things in this interview with the Wall Street Journal. The interview was done in conjunction with a few new A.P.C. shops opening in Manhattan.

A good thing: I always thought Samuel Beckett had great style.

A bad thing: “The sexiest article would be desire, I believe.”

A good thing: I don’t work on Fridays, That’s when I go see my “swing coach,” which is a pretentious way of referring to my golf instructor.

A bad thing: “To really get away, I go on my very fast, very secure Finnish motorboat.”

Harmony Korine’s new short film, “Act Da Fool” for Proenza Schouler

Posted from The Citrus Report

The great Harmony Korine has a new short film, “Act Da Fool,” made for fashion label, Proenza Schouler. The film will go up on the Proenza site in September, but its always worth noting, and Slamxhype got this scoop:

“In a series of hazy 8mm vignettes, accompanied by a soft, lilting voice over, the girls skulk around schoolyards, spray graffiti, drink, smoke, pose and embrace, evoking the loneliness, confusion and overwhelming wonder of growing up. Korine himself puts a more defiant spin on the film: “It’s about girls who sleep in abandoned cars and set things on fire. It’s about the great things in life. The stars in the sky and lots of malt liquor.”

Stay tuned.
