We don’t normally make Paul our go to, but we are glad that he decided that they should close-out their final recording session, Abbey Road, with a medley. And this is his crowning bit of pop gem on Side B of that epic album.

Maybe you thought that the final movie would be the last bit they could squeeze out of the Harry Potter craze? Well you thought wrong. Here’s a new, expedited way to absorb all those books you didn’t read just in time to see the movie. Plus, who doesn’t love comics?

There was a lot of great songs on the final Oasis album, Dig Out Your Soul, and all of them were written by Noel Gallagher. The best of those songs was the epic, hazy, dreamy “Falling Down,” the best performed track at the last Oasis concert we went to in support of Soul. Enjoy.

We thought we were clever putting VCU in the Sweet 16 and proving to be right, but we never, EVER thought Elite 8, and we wouldn’t have bet a thing that would say Final Four. But now, against another amazing story (but getting less surprising because they are KNOWN studs), Butler, that will be one of the games in the Final Four. But this VCU thing, taking out the giants of Kansas yesterday, probably the biggest upset we could think of in recent memory.
As Kansas coach Bill Self said after the game, “Seeds are overrated.” Amen coach.
Too bad about UNC. Especially losing to an ass like Calipari and Kentucky. Not fun.

This has been one of our favorite albums of the year, just a solid rock album from this Canadian four-piece, whom we thought heard broke up recently, but we can’t confirm. Women have won us over now on two albums, but the final track, “Eyesore,” is a just a beautiful, 60s jingle to anthem closer. Public Strain opens with “Can’t You See,” and closes with “Eyesore.” Enjoy.

We go to Thom Yorke’s solo album, and the final track from The Eraser, “Cymbal Rush.” But we go to IFC’s “Henry Rollins Show” live performance, where Thom played with Jonny Greenwood and Nigel Godrich. We like the raw, stripped down version, and we hope you do, too. A very good morning track. Enjoy.

We have been trying to get “Modern Love,” the 1983 hit from David Bowie’s 1983 hit album (but by far not his best) Let’s Dance, on our site for a bit, so we are going to use our First and Final Friday option and let this one on. Enjoy the early new wave 1980s. “Shake It” was the final track, but really, we are here for the “Modern Love.”

This isn’t known to be the best Walkmen album, and we consider the Walkmen to be one of our favorite bands of the last 10 years, but 2006’s
