James Franco’s long-awaited, year-delayed ode to the cult of “Rebel Without A Cause.” is set to open in Los Angeles at JF Chen through the MOCA on Saturday, May 12. “Rebel” features multi-media works from Franco, Harmony Korine, Douglas Gordon, Aaron Young, Ed Ruscha, Paul McCarthy, and Terry Richardson, and we think that there are gang-banging women riding around on bikes naked. Or something like that. It is Harmony Korine, after all.

Probably the cult favorite Phoenix album as a whole is their 2004 release, Alphabetical. Although to us it has always sounded like a bit of a simple pop album, there were moments here that would lead to the ultimate greatness of “Liztomania,” and “1901″, but just not as immediate as those hits. These are just fun. Enjoy.
