Los Angeles based artist and old friend of Upper Playground, Craola is focused on an exciting project of his own. He is on a mission to make his first stop motion animation movie, ‘I’m Scared’.
Craola explains: “I’m Scared” is the age old story of the conflict between the imaginations of little boys and the monsters they battle on a nightly basis. It is also the story of the dynamics of brothers and how each looks at the world through completely different eyeballs. Just because you grew up, doesn’t mean the monsters went away.”
Currently fundraising on kickstarter, Craola is offering a rare opportunity to his fans by giving away Gicleé prints and Studies from his studio in exchange for sponsorship. It’s a great opportunity to get involved and support the artist channeling his immense talent into a new medium.
Watch his video below and his kickstarter page I’M SCARED for more information.
We know this is a tad bit of old news, but we really love what our good friend, Greg “Craola” Simkins did for Pearl Jam earlier this year. A 9 Color Screen Printed Poster created for the Pearl Jam / Mudhoney show in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada on September 17, 2011… available here if Grandma wrote you a nice check for the holidays this year.
