What the hell is this Ed Lee Video all about?

Didn’t Ed Lee not want to run at some point? Didn’t he sort of lie to we San Franciscians? (Note to others, Ed Lee is the interim Mayor of SF who is now running for the full time gig.) And although this video is bizarre to a degree we can’t even fathom even with the Internet, and sort of incredible, we kind of don’t know if it is scoring our vote. Had they included the cast of Full House, E-40, Mrs Doubtfire, Jeremy Fish, or that dude in Black Eyed Peas who doesn’t talk, then we might have been sold.

The Surfing Orange Report

TheSurfingOrange 605x622 The Surfing Orange Report surfing orange report surfing summer south swell Mexico california baja

If you surf at all, I’m sure you noticed the biggest south swell all summer has been lighting up the entire California coast. We personally went down to Baja to get away from the crowded mayhem of the Golden State and returned just in time to catch some waves at Black’s in San Diego (we even got to use our semi-gun, in the summer!). If you do surf and you somehow missed this swell, go get the tail end of it, now.

Will Smith’s Movie Trailer Is Bigger Than A 2-Bedroom Apartment

megatrailer Will Smiths Movie Trailer Is Bigger Than A 2 Bedroom Apartment will smith Movie Trailer 2 Bedroom Apartment

Will Smith is pissing people off in the Soho neighborhood he is staying in to film Men in Black 3. He has an 1,150 sq foot 2 level trailer that apparently has generators running constantly. He also has a second trailer that is his gym all with a luxury apartment less than mile from where they are filming.  We guess the Fresh Prince of Bel Air has come a long way.

Simon Kossoff is a serious amature photog,,,,, No Joke!!!!!!

Where do you live?

For the last 3 years I lived in Overland Park, A suburb of Kansas City, KS. But I’m from Brighton, England originally. I’ve also lived in Madrid, Spain and Oslo, Norway and currently I’m making plans to move to Chicago, later this year.

What do you take pictures of?

In short, America, but it’s all self portrait at the end of the day, I believe.

What kind of camera do you use?

I’ve owned many cameras, but now use a Leica D-Lux3, Which is my first digital camera. It has been excellent too, though a little slow of the mark sometimes.

Are you formally trained in photography?

Yes, I learnt the art of Black and White printing with the Royal Photographic Society, and then attended the University of Brighton’s BA Honors degree in Editorial photography. A course I am still learning from even now.

What are your influences?

I’m continually being influenced and inspired from various places, be it people, books, films, music, current events or other photographers. These influences are always shifting and changing too. Right now I’m reading Under Saturn’s Shadow by James Hollis, which is hugely inspiring and I’m listening to Pete Docherty’s Grace/Wasteland. I’m also being influenced by a particular lost love and the ghost of my Grandfather – the therapy I’m in too is also enlightening. What has been going on in the news recently has also given me an idea for a new series which I’m excited to get working on.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I’ve just completed my EMT training, so I hope to be working as part of an ambulance crew in Chicago as a Paramedic ( I’m secretly wishing I’ll be able to have my camera with me doing this too) . Photographically speaking, that’s difficult to answer. There’s a lot of really exciting things happening right now for me, including a book deal.

What makes you happy?

Long and meandering American road trips with my wife, camera and notebooks
