Crime writer Lindsay Ashford is breaking it down nearly 200 years later. She claims that Jane Austen could have been murdered, from a result of arsenic poisoning. The evidence comes from a sentence in one of Austen’s letters: “I am considerably better now and am recovering my looks a little, which have been bad enough, black and white and every wrong colour.” The symptoms could be arsenic. Because writing Emma was really, really hardcore back in the day, and you rolled with a rough crowd. (via)

Definitely Thursday: “Up in the Sky”

We always loved the initial rush of the 4th track off of Definitely Maybe, as you had got through some great pop tunes in the beginning three tracks. “Up in the Sky” was just a quick shot of adrenaline with the same sentiment as “Live Forever:” And Liam really sounded like a snarling kid on a bit of a drug high.
