First and Final Friday: My Bloody Valentine “Loveless”

A lot of mushrooms went into this album, perhaps one of the last great psych, experimental albums we consider to be landmark. My Bloody Valentine’s sound is still singular in that nobody can repeat it, and in 1991, when the rest of the world was starting to go Nirvana and simple rock, MBV was going introspective and layered. Layered is such a simple way of putting it, but it makes sense.
Loveless begins with “Only Shallow” and ends with “Soon.”
